New to Birmingham is Red Mountain Park, built to honor a unique history and to define a special future for the city of Birmingham. Red Mountain Park consists of 1,300 acres of land, stretching four-and-a-half miles between the cities of Homewood and Bessemer. Currently, the park contains 7 visitor destinations within an 11-mile trail system open for hiking and biking.
